Just Hop In: Soundbite

A family’s love for music flowed through Tom’s childhood heart with such persistent force that his life followed the path of a musician.  His community was a performing arts incubator that gave Tom an abiding love for liturgical and classical music.  His appreciation for those who gave him the exposure and opportunities to follow his creative journey is seen in his giving back to the community through performances and in the many violin, piano and voice students who emerge from his studio year after year.

Growing up in the Big Apple on Staten Island, Bill kept “borrowing” his sister’s Christmas present, a ukulele.  Soon he moved to a guitar, then another, and another, until…, he put his music aside for a very long time.  As fortune would have it, a day arrived a short time ago, and he set off on a new musical journey with family and friends to reach new horizons.

Touchstones of the Inspired Life – Episode 1: Unbury the Joy

This is the first episode of Touchstones of the Inspired Life a podcast dedicated to inspiring people through the personal journeys of those seeking their way to a more fulfilling life.

Our first guest is Cathy Fennel, a voice actor and writer.  From a young age, Cathy has been in love with reading and writing.  During her formative years, there was little support for creative endeavors but a lot of advise from the elders to pursue a job that provides financial security.  Writing was not a part of their equation.  This is her story of holding on to and quietly acting on her dreams of writing.
